Although The Theater Doctor sells all major brands and high end equipment, we don’t ‘ keep stock ’. This is why.
At The Theater Doctor, we have found it very efficient and convenient to take items as needed from our distributor’s warehouse. It saves us a lot of time and a lot of money, and there is no storage/theft/damage/insurance issue. It makes sense/cents.
The Theater Doctor does not have to mark up items to cover loss margins. When items become out dated, we have no worries and no pressure. Our distributors, on the other hand, will have ‘special’ sales and we offer these savings to our clients.
The Customer's Benefit:
We guarantee we do not have to ‘sell off old stock’ or ‘ push ’ certain items, as most sales professionals are asked to do. Our Clients ALWAYS get the latest and greatest items at reasonable pricing – no need to cover loss. So, there is never any high pressure to make your purchase.
Besides, this is AV. Technology changes constantly. You don’t need to feel pressured to ‘ get it now ’ – just get it when you are ready. One thing is for sure, it will always evolve into something better.
The Theater Doctor does have demo rooms, but our clients rarely visit.
“Demo rooms’ are specifically designed for sound and viewing, unlike ‘home’ environments.
Our clients prefer we evaluate their own house and their own personal needs. We discuss options with them and custom order components as needed for their own home system. Specifications of all items can be found on line. Our clients are internet savvy. They know what they want. They just need help finding the right items at the right price from someone who is not inhibited to ‘ tell the truth ’.
As for our Demo rooms, our clients prefer scheduling a one to one for personal demo and consultation. They usually don’t want to ‘wait in line for whoever is next’. They want (and they deserve) personal attention. Having a demo rooms available by appointment has proven cost effective as well.
