5. Why are your prices lower than other area companies?
Our overhead is lower. Our business plan offers the same high quality components as our competitors BUT since we install custom systems, we don’t stock equipment which saves us money and, in turn, saves our customers money. We also assure our clients that they will not get last years out dated model because it "needs to move".

17. What is remote programming?

18. What is the reason for video problems?
Wow! Could be anything! Lots of times it is a faulty connection or wire. Sometimes it’s the unit itself. Sometimes it is the way the components are daisy chained together. Sometimes a cable was pulled or it could be a staple through a wire in the attic. One thing is for sure; The Theater Doctor will troubleshoot your problem and fix it.

19. Why pre-wire?
INVESTMENT!!! Whether you use it or not, pre-wire your new home for a theater room, surround sound, intercom, etc. This increases your resale value. We recommend pre-wiring your oldest child’s room – when they move out the theater comes in!

20. Can’t you run the wires after the house is built?
Yes – but it’s difficult and more expensive to run wires later.
21. Do you pre-wire homes?
Yes – and we have the advantage. We plan the wires to the design of the room. Since our installers are also designers, more thought goes in to installation. Some wire runners just run wires and let the Designer figure it out later. We solve problems before they start with proper planning.

22. Can you pre-wire my home?
It depends on your builder – call them first. We offer FREE evaluations of pre-designed systems whether we do the work or not.

23. My sales person designed my surround system – is he qualified?
Sorry. Often times they’re not. Call us for a FREE evaluation of your system design. We will check for issues or problems at NO CHARGE TO YOU!!! Why? Well, if we save you time and money now, you might call us back later. Of course, there is no obligation for you to use The Theater Doctor for your Home Entertainment needs.

24. We have multiple remotes on the table – Dad knows how to use them but Mom can’t figure it out and if the kids push buttons everything goes out of sync. Do you have a solution to this problem? Please help!!!
Yes we do!!! We promote family unity with ONE control system – Mom, Dad and kids - technology at its simplest level for a house of Harmony. One button turns it on, one button changes from DVD to TV to Xbox and one button turns it off! There is also a cool Help feature - this control system will work on the sequence and ask you “Did that fix the problem?” – you simply answer yes or no until the issue is fixed. “System Simplified”.

25. What is your Delivery Charge?

26. What is a "Control System"?
There are several Control Systems (remotes) that do the coolest things! For example, when you choose to ‘play’ a movie, you press 1 (one) button -- the shades will come down, the movie comes on and the lights in that room automatically progress to a dim illumination or darkness. Later when you hit the ‘pause’ button your pre-programmed control system not only pauses the movie but it provides low lights for a bathroom break, to check on the kids or to get a yummy snack.

27. What is BluRay?
Gotta have it! It's a blue lasered disc capable of storing more than 5 times the information than any other method. The optical experience is AWESOME!!! You will see things in movies that you'd never seen before - details you've missed on the movies you know. It's GREAT!
