1. What if I buy at a retail store and I need someone to install the component?
Definitely! The Theater Doctor will install any equipment for you, any time. BUT call us before you buy. We might be able to provide a better quality unit at a lower price.
Disclaimer: The Theater Doctor cannot guarantee any equipment installed from other sources. Whether you have B Stock items, refurbished or used equipment, The Theater Doctor can not be held responsible for the condition of these units. If The Theater Doctor determines a component is not serviceable, or must be modified to fit the application, The Theater Doctor has the right to ask for reimbursement of our troubleshooting efforts.
2. Do you sell speakers, screens and TV’s?
Yes! Great Quality – Great Prices!!! Everything you need – projectors, Plasmas, LCD’s, DVD’s, cables, connectors – we have it ALL!!! Free Delivery with install!!!
3. What if I do some of the work myself?
The Theater Doctor can only guarantee our own work. Any additions or changes you make to your own system voids our warrantee. That being said - go ahead! Do it yourself and save some money – we will assist you in anyway we can.

5. Do you provide training?
Yes. Training is FREE with service call and/or control system programming. We encourage you to call us with any questions or concerns. If you don’t understand something – or if you simply forgot – please call us! We know these systems are new to you and we expect you might experience a little confusion in the beginning. We are here for you!!!
That being said, training time can be purchased. If you want to learn how to use your current system effectively, if you have a remote you don’t understand, call us. We’ll help you learn more about your own system – even if you bought it somewhere else.
6. Why pre-wire?
INVESTMENT!!! Whether you use it or not, pre-wire your new home for a theater room, surround sound, intercom, etc. This increases your resale value. We recommend pre-wiring your oldest child’s room – when they move out the theater comes in!
7. Can’t you run the wires after the house is built?
Yes – but it’s difficult and more expensive to run wires later.
8. Do you pre-wire homes?
Yes – and we have the advantage. We plan the wires to the design of the room. Since our installers are also designers, more thought goes in to installation. Some wire runners just run wires and let the Designer figure it out later. We solve problems before they start with proper planning.
9. Can you pre-wire my home?
It depends on your builder – call them first. We offer FREE evaluations of pre-designed systems whether we do the work or not.
10. What is your return policy?
If an item we provide is defective, we will replace it within the first 30 days – provided we receive written notification (email) within that 30 day period. If the item is out of stock, we will do what we can to provide a reasonable replacement unit until the new one is available. Sometimes, we just have to wait until the item is available.
Our customers have 30 days to test out their new system. If, for any reason you are unsatisfied with your installation or the equipment purchased, feel free to call The Theater Doctor. We will do everything possible to correct the situation within a reasonable time frame.
But, after 30 days, depending on the manufacturer’s warrantee, the returns are up to the customer. Regardless, we would still like to hear from you. Just in case there might be a quick fix to your situation.
11. What about the installation of items you do not normally carry?
We do can not stand behind, or support, equipment that we have no history with. We will provide the installation on clear intent of payment from the customer who requested the unique item, with the understanding that all monies are to be paid in full whether their product performs as they had hoped, or does not.
12. What if I provide the equipment and it doesn’t work with my system?
The Theater Doctor is not responsible for the serviceability of customer provided equipment. If troubleshooting is needed to determine this, additional charges would be applied to your invoice.
13. Is there a charge if I have to reschedule an appointment?
Since we block out these billable hours for your service, we will charge you $75 for a missed appointment if we do not get 24 hours notice. Please notify us as soon as possible.
